Are there any other diners in Manhattan like the Empire at 22nd & 10th (authentic 30's/40's)?

Alternatively - where is good for breakfast close to E34th Street?

Say 10 blocks North/South of 34th & 5 blocks either side of 5th Ave?

Although it doesn't matter if it's a block or two further - I'm willing to walk quite a way for a decent breakfast!

Thanks.

Comelade, are all the diners on the site you gave a link to still open for business (I know the Munson is gone)?

The British obsession with breakfast perplexes me. Most people just eat that on the run here, but UK tourists always want to know good breakfast restaurants.

That said, Mayrose on 21st and Broadway has good breakfast:

You might want to try " Coffee Shop" on Madison Avenue between E27th and E28th Streets. Good breakfast and lunch place...
