If you really want to know, look no further than the name of the event itself. :D

What do all those people do in the Love Parade?

they make Party, Party and Party. :D (technoparty)

Loveparade is once a year (except last year)and it is always in Berlin. :)
You can say it is the biggest Techno-celebration in Germany! And u must to be there one time in life - if u r living in Germany. Even if u do not like this kind of music :D (the mood is great at the loveparade)

best regards

Why don't they call it the Techno Parade?

ablarc,

This is really a good question. But I do not know an answer, sorry. :o

The first Love parade in Germany was in 1989 and the occasion for it was the birthday of a German-DJ “Dr. Motte”. This parade had only 150 guests and one vehicle.

To the comparison: the love parade in 2003 had about 750,000 guests and 30 vehicles and on each vehicle there are some DJs.

Every Love parade has/had a subject:
In 1989 – Friede, Freude, Eierkuchen
In 1990 – The Future is ours
In 1991 – My house is your house and your house is mine
In 1992 – the worldwide Party people weekend
In 1993 – fifth annicersary
In 1994 – the spirit makes you move
In 1995 – peace on earth
In 1996 – we are one family
In 1997 - let the sunshine in your heart
And so on…
__________

Here you can see a picture of such a vehicle:

Maybe this is the reason why they call it Love Parade :D :D :p

Oh, of course ... look at all the good he did for Berlin ...

Marking the Soviet Union's victory, a soldier raises the Soviet flag over the German Reichstag in the Nazi capital, Berlin ...

His short and long term goals resembled those of an Islamist.

Eisenman's monument is interesting. Each block is different --like the individual it represents.

Never been to Berlin, but this picture reminds me of DC - except more street life.

Hitlar made Berlin a good city !

 You'll be saying next that Sadam made Baghdad a good city.

I went to Berlin a couple of years ago, there was a lot of redevelopment going on - i'd like to go back someday and see how it looks. Not sure about the love parade though, it seems a bit 1980's.
