JFK Domestic Flight Question

i recently traveled from LaGuardia to Houston, Tx and i got there 2 hours early bc it was right after the London incidents. It took me 5 minutes from the time i was dropped off until i reached my flight gate. I was just wondering if this would be the same at JFK if i was flying to Texas? Thanks in advance

JFK is a lot bigger, so it might take longer...but I try to avoid it, so I'm sure someone else has a better opinion for you. Even though it's a dump, Laguardia is the fastest, so I try to use it any time I fly.

thanks for the reply....i wasnt sure if i posted this in the wrong place. i may not have the option of JFK or LaGuardia because these are work related flights.
