View Full Version : What if I don't pay a parking ticket?

I don't live in NY and rarely go there. However, a few months ago I was in NYC for one day and was given a $94 parking ticket for a completely lame reason that did not justify a ticket (I'll spare you the details). Given that I am not from NY, I'm thinking about blowing off this ticket because I disagree with the circumstances that led to it.

Does anyone know what (if anything) will happen? They have my home address, but I doubt they will be able/wiling to do much given that I'm several states away. Just want to make sure though before I do something that I later regret.

Life is all about looking back and having NO regrets, for me anyway.. Why don't you just pay the fine and get it over with..;)..

One more thing... Hold on to your receipt...

The cops will find out where you will live, and put a boot on your car. ;) Nah, if anything, they might throw you in jail.
