I'm flying to Manhattan in 2 weeks to see White Noise (http://www.radaronline.com/features/2006/09/springtime_for_hitler.php) the musical and was wondering if anyone here has seen it or was planning on going to see it.

Does anyone know of plans to keep it running after its short stint at the festival. Seems like it could be a megahit. Jersey Boys meets The Producers.

User Name, tell us if the songs are any good. In fact, how about writing a review?

It's gotten pretty bad reviews ...

^ Those reviews combined spell M E G A H I T . Did you read the early reviews of Wicked?

Why, User Name is flying in from the boondocks just for this --and it's not even on Broadway yet.

That "White Noise" will never play a Broadway theater?

You bet ... what's the wager?

Well, it's hard to determine when a negative has been proved; you have to put a time limit on it. So why don't we say if two years from today (October 1, 2008) it hasn't appeared on Broadway: I buy you a camera. If it has: you buy one for yourself (within two weeks of the opening). If it settles Off-Broadway into an extended run --like The Fantastiks-- we could call it a draw.

How can I turn that ^^ down :D

Games on.

Addendum: If I have to buy myself a camera I will definitely need some sage advice to help me cut through the numbing number of choices ... I propose we make that part of the deal.

[ feel free to stipulate to any other addenda in return ... and we'll take it from there ]

Nice thing about it is that either way everybody wins because lofter's on a railroad track to get a camera...well, unless there's a draw.

Hey lofter, are you now taking pictures with your cell phone?

If I can lend you my views...(there are plenty of other well informed photographers here)...

Get a Yashica-Mat 124. Much much easier than carrying around a Hassy.

Let's say I'm making an attempt ...

And thanks, GT, for the info.

Ending its successful limited run, the controversial and critically acclaimed new musical White Noise will play its final performances this weekend at TBG Theater as part of the New York Musical Theater Festival.

The creators of White Noise are currently in negotiations with commercial producers for an Off-Broadway transfer, anticipated for early 2007.

How was the show?

No news on this show for a long time ...

GOOGLE (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&rls=com.microsoft%3Aen-us%3AIE-SearchBox&rlz=1I7RNWE&q=%22white+noise%22+%22the+musical%22+2008) shows hardly a peep since 2006.

Looks like it might have some possible competition: "The Musical Corpse (http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=312310988)"

abarc: the wager still has ~ 6 months to play out. So if you can wrangle up a bunch of Broadway angels and an available theater you might still be off the hook.
