I hope someone can help me with this. I remember hearing that they were building a walkway that would stretch for MANY MILES, through New York City, beginning in New Jersey. I live in New Jersey, and would LOVE to know more about this walkway. I need to know where it is, how to get to any point on this walk, and any other helpful details anyone can supply. If you don't know the New Jersey information, but know about the New York City side of this walkway, I'd settle for that!!! At this point, I'm anxious to learn where I can find it, and try it out and go exploring. Can anyone please help???

The only walkway I know that connects NJ to NYC, is the George Washington Bridge. It connects Bruce Reynolds Boulevard in Fort Lee, to W.178th St in Manhattan. I hope that helps.

Thanks for replying. However, the walkway that I am trying to find out about runs in Weehauken (NJ) I'm sure. I just don't know how many miles of walkway is already built, and if it does indeed run all the way into NYC yet. Guess I'll just have to go to Weehauken and find out! Thanks again!:)

Maybe you mean the Walkway referred to in posts on another NJ thread, starting HERE (http://www.wirednewyork.com/forum/showpost.php?p=120357&postcount=48)

Ivy I thiink you are thinking of the Waterfront walkway that will stretch from the Bayonne Bridge to the George Washington Bridge. That walkway is almost complete and goes along the New Jersey Hudson River shoreline and connects the two bridges that both have walkways leading into Staten Island and Manhattan.

:) Ok, I feel like I'm getting closer here. :D Aren't parts of this walkway finished already? Where are the finished parts that I can already walk on? Streets? Town? Links? I'd appreciate it if anyone can share any of these missing details, or direct me to the proper online spot to read more about this walkway.
As an aside, I am a middle aged woman from New Jersey, not "hitting" on anyone, but I just had to say that this bulletin board has the MOST INTERESTING and GOOD LUCKING photos of you men that I have ever seen!!! I enjoy just looking at your photos!!! I guess I don't see men like you in New Jersey that often!!! Thanks for all of your help!
