Any ideas as to where I can get a decent quality map of Manhattan?

I am sure there are hundreds of outlets in Manhattan itself, but I would like to get one in advance of my trip next year, so that I can do a little pre-planning.

I currently have a Baedecker's which is excellent - but somewhat dated ('89!)

GEOGRAPHIA NEW YORK CITY Tourist Map, 5 Maps in 1.

One side has Midtown with LOTS of detail, building by building. Other side has a similar blowup of Downtown, a blowup of Greenwich Village, all of Manhattan with every street, and a handy subway map that covers all five boroughs. For less than five bucks, something to spend hours gazing at:

Although the site is temporarily down, when it is back up, the following is helpful:

tdp, don't be fooled by Strand Books' description of Geographia's map as a "paperback." This is a regular, two-sided fold-out map, full color, about 24x36.

Hagstrom also puts out a 5-in-1 map that almost exactly fits the above description of Geographia's. It's prettier to look at and has better subway station indications (shows the exact underground location of each station), but it has a bit less detail on the Financial District map: http://www.nextag.com/New-York-City-5-85001189/prices-html

I quite liked this map for ease of use last tiem i was in NYC (it's printed on stiff card and folds to a size that fits into a jacket pocket, yet it has consdierable detail).
