Not great quality but they catch the grittiness of Brooklyn.

Not great quality but they catch the grittiness of Brooklyn.
You could almost say they exaggerate it.

I don't know. I count 8 gritty, 7 not so gritty.

So, does that make Brooklyn 53.3% gritty? ;)

While we're on the topic of grit, here's a photo from razor apple (http://www.razorapple.com/2006/10/12/car-challenges-brooklyn-building-boom/) with accompanying blog entry:

http://www.razorapple.com/wp-content/uploads/2006/10/car-on-cinder-blocks.jpg

"Worried about the safe, sterile, homogeneous influence of Prospect Heights creeping into your Crown Heights experience? Worry less. A Jeep Wrangler was stripped and left sitting on cinder blocks beneath the Franklin Avenue Shuttle on St. Marks Avenue yesterday, a reminder that the 16-story glass tower planned a few doors down at 540 St. Marks Ave. may be a very difficult sell."

Gritty...or rasterized. Use photoshop to compress the images (or host them on a decent site like flickr). I hope you're not paying for "NYCfoto."
