hey there!

Recently just moved here, finally got settled down a bit in terms of furniture and stuff (took a while, but i did it!). I was just wondering if there are any tips on buying things that cant be carried home in a conventional manner .. ie getting someone to deliver pieces of furniture that are too big for 1 person to carry on the subway/cab

With respect to ordering something online, the problem lies with the delivery times, i'm never home on weekdays from 9-5, I live in a no doorman building, so I always end up missing the delivery guy. I find it pointless for me to pick up the item from a ups pick up center as that just brings me back to my original dilemma haha.. so far the only work around that I've found is to find a place that has same day delivery on weekends, such as bed bath and beyond.

But alas, the location I went to doesnt sell computer chairs/office chair, which is what I'm looking for as I dont really have anything comfortable to sit on.Can anyone recommend a place where I can buy a decent computer chair? I run into the delivery problem at office d and staples :(

As I mentioned I just moved here, and dont really have anyone I know well enough to have the nerve to ask 'hey can you help me carry gigantico xx item home please', so at the moment I'm trying to find the most convenient solution :)

hope this wasnt a TLDR type of post :P
Thanks in advance!
