Greetings, Wired New York Readers! I’ve got a packed newsletter for you this month; New York is gearing up for the Holidays, and the city is buzzing with some great events. From ice-skating at Wollman rink to enjoying Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, I hope this edition of the WNY Newsletter has something for everyone. November Events in New York --------------------------------

Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade
Begins at 77th St and Central Park West
November 23 at 9 am
Enjoy the giant floats and festive music of the annual Thanksgiving parade. Be forewarned: many people get there as early as 6:30 am, so if you’re looking for a prime spot, arriving a few hours early is a good idea.

Tree Lighting Ceremony
Rockefeller Center

November 29, 7-9 pm
Take part in this annual ceremony that lights the enormous tree at Rockefeller Center. People line up for the event hours beforehand, so try to get there as early as possible to get a good position. Bonus trivia fact: over five miles of lights are used to illuminate the tree each year.

Ice-Skating in New York City

The free rink at Bryant Park and the ice rink at Rockefeller Center are opened until midnight, Wollmank Rink until 11 pm on weekends.
November-April
Enjoy a spin around the rink, followed by a hot chocolate at the confession stand.
