Shame those high power lines/cellular towers are so close to the Roman monuments... otherwise, very impressive.

Is Libya back on the tourist map for Americans? Anybody know if we are allowed to travel there?

Travel restrictions for Americans to visit Libya were lifted in March, 2004.

However, I found a recent news item that a cruise ship was denied visas for its American passengers by the Libyan government.
