That is a pretty ridiculous question. Anywhere - in any city, and among men and women - you can find a-holes, however you want to define it. I don't think there any more a-holes here than in any other large city - percentage-wise.

Call me biased, but I think the answer is a YES! :D

Cell phone rudeness is at such epidemic proportions that a topic on it should be started. Ironically, its forum would be "Anything Goes."

There are already cell phone topics, but they do not directly address the rudeness factor:

"Wiring the Subway for Cell Phones":

"Cell Phone Self Defense," (perv caught on woman's cell phone camera):
http://www.wirednewyork.com/forum/showthread.php?t=7146&highlight=cell+phone

"First Cell Phone," (mostly humor/banter):

I don't think people thought you were labeling New York men like that. You have a lot of posts here, and you come off as too nice to publicly express that kind of opinion.

I think that the men in the NY metro area are nicer than anywhere else in this country. Most NY men let you know exactly where you stand. Even the "subtle" men end up letting out obvious hints.

People don't realize what a nice quality this is unless they have lived in an area of the country where every man is overly friendly, permanently donning a Cheshire smile. Not one clue where you stand -- and this applies to business as well as romance.

As Groucho Marx would say ..... "I resemble that remark"
