(Queens - WABC, Dec. 19 2006) - To help shoppers with their last minute holiday shopping, the Macy's located at the Queens Center Mall will be open for 107 straight hours.
Doors will open Wednesday, December 20th at 7 a.m. and remain open until 6 p.m. Sunday.
Queens Center Mall is located in the Elmhurst section of Queens at 9001 Queens Boulevard.
The company chose the Queens Center Mall location because it's one of the busiest in the country.
Eyewitness News' Sandra Bookman spoke to one shopper, who wasn't interested in the late night shopping possibilities. "I don't need Macy's open 24 hours. An hour is good for me." said Betty Killcommons.
However, a retail analyst tells Bookman he thinks the 24 hour idea, isn't a bad one. "Many shoppers, believe it or not will go out crazy hours to avoid the crowds, so it will be a real conveinence for many people. So I think it maybe a win win in that particular store." said Howard Davidowitz.

I think that another reason why they chose this location is because it's across the street from the always busy St. John's Hospital. --->
"Captive Market"
The subway stop is Woodhaven Blvd. There is plenty of free parking there from 8pm - 6am.
