I have just arrived in New York and need to outfit a small one bedroom apartment. Looking for tips on where to purchase moderately priced contemporary/traditional furniture in the style of Restoration Hardware, Gracious Home or Norwalk (I like Pottery Barn but want better quality). Have already searched Broadway area and Soho. Am willing to go to boroughs or outlying areas provided reachable by public transit.
