Hi
I am visiting NY for 7 days between the 17th and 24th and would love to know what sort of stuff the indigenous population get up too of an evening.
To give you an idea of "my type". I'm a 23 year old Londoner and will be staying in a $23 a night hostel on the Upper East Side, exploring the mirriad of museums and galleries, visiting some antifolk venues and experiencing the wonders of poetry readings and comedy shows.
I am also really into electro and ID music, so if anybody can shed some light on suitable venues I would be overjoyed as I can't seem to find much, despite KNOWING that it exists.
If any NYers visiting this board are able to suggest some must do's (excluding the usual ground zero, Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building etc) must eat here's, or must avoid's, I would be most grateful.
