Does anyone know of any buildings currently accepting applications for middle-income priced apartments?

www.nyc.gov is the place to start -- a search term like "affordable housing" will bring up a list of current lotteries.
Also, if you're a teacher or a cop, HUD has some neighborhood programs:

Are the vast majority of us so called middle class qualified for so called "affordable housing"... ?
It seems that OUR elected officials pander to the bottom - We already have 1 million units of public housing.
What about encouraging middle income - btw.....you do that by lowering costs...not just subsidies.
The condo bust in OTHER cities actually makes things more affordable.
Let the free market reign!
instead we get Yassky demanding 30% affordable when nothing has yet to be built.
