i want to take my gf somehwere nice for this valentines...im 19 and shes 18 any places that would be nice for a good day in the city? im not trying to go to a club or a bar please dont recommend that....thank you

Since it's a weekday (Wednesday) night, how many hours can you spend together? That partially determines what you can do.

i say take her to the bronx zoo, wollmans ice rink (central park), the aquarium at coney island, the botanical garden, fresh meadow park (queens museum), take the staten island ferry, or get her a puppy. LOL

What about a cafe instead of a full-on restaurant? You probably can't get reservations at this point anyway. Cafe Lalo is nice, I believe it's on 83rd Street. It has the added romantic benefit of having appeared in the movie You've Got Mail. There's another cafe a few blocks away that also appeared in the movie which is quite nice and intimate. I forget the name, but it's probably in the movie's page on imdb.com.

Being outside is probably not the best idea, considering the cold lately.
