Hi all! I posted a couple of pictures on this website some months ago. I'm back with more. Went to NYC 2 times so far, Februari of 2005 for a week and July of 2006 for 8 days. Will go back again in April this year, for a 10 day stay.

Here our some pictures from the trips. Visit www.sadocles.nl (http://www.wirednewyork.com/forum/www.sadocles.nl) for more.

1. The sculpture of Atlas near Rockefeller Center.

2. The Chrysler Building, taken from the top of a building near Times Square.

3. The Empire State Building.

4. A typical Downtown Street. This one was taken near Wall Street.

5. Building tops in Downtown Financial District: the green top at the end is the Woolworth Building, dating from 1913.

6. Taken from Jersey City. Magnificent views over Manhattan! You can reach it by taking a train from the World Trade Center PATH Station.

10. I don't really remember where this was taken. I guess somewhere in Upper Midtown.

11. Traffic near Grand Central Station.

12. The Metlife Building.

13. Midtown streetscene.

14. Taken from Downtown. Chrysler Building can be seen in this distance. It's about 5 km away.

15. Downtown, near Ground Zero.

17. Union Square. The white top is the Metlife Tower, dating from 1900. This was the world's tallest for over a decade!

20. The black building is the Marine Midland Building. These buildings stand near Ground Zero. Amazingly, they were hardly damaged in the 9/11 attacks even though they are across the street of the World Trade Center.

21. The Woolworth Building. This was the world's tallest from 1913 to 1931, when Chrysler took the title. A few months after, Empire State Building took over and would reign until the Sears Tower was completed in 1972.

22. World Wide Plaza. This avenue is a remarkable one and holds many buildings that have amazing architecture. Be sure to walk it and have a look at the Hearst Magazine Tower.

Some of your shots capture a city overwhelmed by traffic. Indeed it sometimes feels that way.

Thanks for your pics!

Lol, that same angle of the MetLife you showed is in the film World Trade Center (2006). Very nice photos. I love New York (having only been there when I was 1, 11 years ago!) mainly for the architecture. But these show the feelings behind the citizens and visitors. I look forward to more! :)
