moving to NY/ greencards

I am hoping someone has knowledge about visas and greencards.

Here is my predicament. I have been offered a job at pbdw architects for 11 months and have the choice between applying for a j-1 or non immigrant visa (not permentant) or a greencard (takes much longer and will be harder as i dont get a bachelors until the summer). does anyone know if i come to NY on a temporary visa how hard is it to obtain a green card and what are the requirements. also i have 2 previous visas (j-1) from the past 2 summers.

I would suggest finishing your studies, getting your batchelor degree, then have the comany sponsor you for an H1B work visa. After 6 years the same company can get you a greencard.

6 years?? ive been reading you can apply when in the US if you have a job and a bachelors, 6 years is a bit extensive, it only takes 5 years of permenant residence to take citizenship.
