ummm, no. In fact, you have the joy of living by the city, and not having to pay taxes for living IN the city.

Alot of New Yorkers make money then get OUT of the city and live quietly in the suburbs.

Isn't it more depressing to live several thousand miles away?

Living in Jersey City is like living in the outer boroughs so nope not depressing and I love New Jersey so I'm happy where I' am. I have the best of both worlds.

What about living in Staten Island? You're living in the city, yet people living outside the Tri-State don't even know that you're a part of NYC. Ask someone living in Idaho, what the five boroughs of New York city are. I'm sure you'll hear New Jersey, more than Staten Island.

A common belief out west seems to be that Harlem is the fifth borough.
