I was flying into NY last week and the flight arrived around 7am at LaGuardia. It was a small little express jet and it was able to fly closer to the skyline than most planes are, we flew right near Ground Zero and the view was amazing, I wasn’t expecting to come so close so I missed an opportunity for some tremendous shots. By the time we rounded Staten Island I remembered my cell phone had a camera, I could kick myself for the shots I missed. I keep telling myself the sun would have been in the shots anyway so thats my consolation.

And yes, I took all these shots with my cellphone, its amazing how technology has improved.

Wow, those are some really nice camera phone pics. Never seen Queens from that kind of angle. Looks kind of weird, but you got some good shots of CitiField. Seems like its really progressing well.

I always like to see NYC from the air. Although you seem to have been too far for better pics of Midtown. But you managed to do well with downtown and parts of Brooklyn and Queens. Good job with you cell camera.

The classic LGA "Expressway" approach, for those "that's why I moved here!" moments. Thanks.
