Hey guys, I am a wet behind the ears soon to be Masters Level guy looking to get a job in NYC. I currently live in pittsburgh. Are there any resources for out-of-towners trying to get employed in the city? Are any of you from out of town and actively sought to get a job in that city? I would love to move there eventually, and any and all help will be appreciated.
Thanks
Derek.

There's this whole thread (http://www.wirednewyork.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5632&page=81) with info about moving here. There seems to be a prejudice in NYC for local candidates, so it might be easier (if more stressful) to move here and then start your search. After a few months of struggling (temping/freelancing) you'll be fine. Good luck.

From my experience large firms in NYC love bringing outsiders in especially at the entry level.
