They're renovating it. It's on Park Ave South somewhere between 30th and 32nd.

The building is 475 Park Avenue South (http://www.emporis.com/en/wm/bu/?id=475parkavenuenuesouth-newyorkcity-ny-usa) between 33rd street and 32nd as Derek noted.
They've stripped all of the building's brown bricks, and what you see now is new green building wrap that has been applied in preparation for the rebricking of the tower.

Thank you all.
Too bad the color is only temporary; I like it just the way it is.

Since it is in the picture, I'd like to note my disgust with that blank wall at 325 Fifth.
Duly noted.

Such a shame the amount of bare blank wall on new construction these days.

People have been saying that for as long as NY has been reaching for the sky (think of the Park Row Building completed in 1899).

No, the image has been changed. The previous image showed a Park Avenue South building covered in green building wrap as it was getting rebricked.

There is a rendering of the final look on Advanced Media Design's website.

Wait, so judging from that rendering, they are not just simply rebricking the tower, but rather completely recladding it? Doesn't look like it from the way they've been going about with the brick removal and stuff.
I personally don't see a need to reclad this one. It's fine as it is and harmonizes well with its surrounding of mostly pre-war midrises.

I agree and they're sure taking their time.

Not to much you can do with that shape, but this might be one of the better, more interesting recladdings.

and they took down the scaffolding as if they're going to leave it like that for the near future...

I work nearby. Word on the street (literally) is that there's currently no money to finish the project. So in the near term, it's going to stay the way it is. I've kinda gotten used to the green color, and kinda like it now. But how well the insulating wrap will withstand the elements, IDK.
