Top stuff Alan.

You didn't happen to fly by Globespan from Liverpool John Lennon did you?

Going with them to NYC in August, I think they've just started doing the route.

Wow, I hadn't realize how really ugly that Sheraton (right above the red snowman ad) looked.

Now if there's any building that deserves a date with the wrecking ball, that would be it.

Of course, in this city they'd raze the beautiful Drake or the Hotel Pennsylvannia long before they'll harm that Sheraton wreck above.

Oh, it's a beauty all right. I voted it one of Manhattan's ugliest a while ago. Some pics here:

The Sheraton above is actually a block west of the one you linked. It's a fairly small building taking up (almost?) an entire block -- seems a prime location for something new and big.

My bad. I seem to remember that Sheraton had a newly renovated, western facade that made it look bearable. But in that picture, it looks every bit as ugly as its big brother a block over.

EFC we went from Mankchester with Virgin. We have a wheelchair user in our group so i think they really try to look after you so no complaints. The temp was -70 in the air as we were crossing and it took 3hours to thaw the doors open

Lofter you are right we stayed at the westin(about 4 miles up which was great) and once again we got well looked after Pic number 5 is from the kids room and we had a window over times square and ESB.

I will try a few more pics
