What's Going On With Verizon Building ?

I was shocked to see the Verizon Building at the corner of 42nd and Avenue of the Americas this weekend. It's covered in protective sheeting like the Deutsche Bank Building at Ground Zero is. What is going on ?

They are recladding it. Why? To waste money and make it look like a big green glass box I suppose... :p
