Been trying for ages to get larger images linked to Imageshack. Still can't do it. These were supposed to be about 1050 wide. Any tips Zippy?
Love your Bastille Day pics.

I'm a bit confused. The above images are hosted at Wired New York. Are you saying that you have images hosted at Imageshack and can't link to WNY?

Just to remind you, don't hotlink images that are more than 800 pixels wide. Link the thumbnails.

Click once on one or more images from the main page. An orange border will frame the selected images.

In the ACTION column on the right, click on "Get code for Forums." A popup box will list the thumbnail code(s).

Copy and paste here.

The code for this image

is
IMG]http://img523.imageshack.us/img523/9990/carrollgdns60qf7.th.jpg[/IMG][/URL

I removed two brackets so the code would be visible.

Brian, considering how many images you may host in the future, have you considered starting your own Photobucket?

www.Photobucket.com (http://www.Photobucket.com)

Free; very easy to start and use; has many additional features, including video hosting; images/videos never expire.

Thanks guys. Originaly I was trying to link the larger image and WNY must have reduced them to 800 wide. Next I was trying to use the (manage attachment) facility and getting the invalid file indicator.

Brian, I moved this topic to Forum Issues because members have had the same question in the past and will have it in the future. Here we have a great "before & after" sample. (BTW, nice pics!)

Since you had not intended for your photos to be displayed in Forum Issues, however, please feel free to also display them in the forum for which they were intended.:)

Zippy and Rapunzel.

Many thanks to both of you. I have photographs on both of the above, so I can now display from both sites. You have both been so helpful.
