Touristy but nice. The way the sidewalk is completely occupied and the roadway closed to traffic reminds me of Espanola Way, Miami Beach. Does this happen only on Sundays?

About 5 years now, streets closed to traffic on summer weekends.
Mulberry between Canal and Broome. Hester between Mott and Mulberry.
Friday 6PM - 11PM
Saturday 11AM - 11PM
Sunday 11AM - 10PM
Occasionally crowded, but doesn't get oppressive. Most of the restaurants have sidewalk permits.
A contrast to the nonsense a few blocks away in Soho - 10 pounds of shopping is too heavy to carry, and must be put into the trunk of a car squeezed into a tight spot.
