Closings at 225 Fifth

We purchased an apartment at the Grand Madison - went into contract in 2005 and at that time, we were told that closings will take place in Nov/Dec 2006 or Jan 2007..... and now we are in August???? Is this type of delay normal?

It does not matter if it is normal: it is not what you were promised - that is what I view as being wrong with this scenario. And in terms of statistics - the reports I have read - yes, long delays in closing is now considered normal.


P.S. There are a few good photos of the interiors of this new luxury condo at the brokers website. You will "be swept away (http://www.prudentialelliman.com/Listings.aspx?ListingID=850156)" by this apartment: but you may have to wait awile if you plan to purchase.

Your welcome. What I particularly like about that link is that the graphics offer a very simple, but effective, look into the interiors of this building. The thumbnail of the floor plan opens to a larger more viewable size; and there are several ancillary photos provided along with the floor plan.
