Hi I have never been to NYC before but am planning a trip early next year.
I am hopeing to be going in early Jan to catch the last of that Christmas snow, but I probably wont have the cash by then so I will most likely end up going march or april.

I am planning on purchasing a Quantas holiday package that includes a sweet hotel and return ticket for 4 grand (If I take another person).

Well that being said can anyone recomend stuff to do that isnt going to cost me an arm and a leg? Bare in mind I am willing to drop a bit of cash here and there, but saving money is on my mind.

Also keep in mind that I am planning on staying for 15 days.

Thanks in advance :)

I spent 7 days in NYC this year.
My biggest saver was a 7 day unlimited ride Metro Card for $24.
With this I rode the subway north to 200th St. and south to Coney Island, and the bus from United Nations to 12th Avenue. With the number of rides I made it must have saved me $100.
Also ride the Staten Island ferry which is free. This gives you free views of Ellis Island and Lady Liberty.
Eat at Gray's Papaya every day.
These are your first savings.
Good Luck.
