My girlfriend and I would like to rent a car next weekend to go pumpkin picking. Can anyone recommend a fun place to go near the city? We have to do lunch in Wappinger, NY, so preferably the patch would be within 20/30 miles of Wappinger. Nearby scenery or places to walk would around would be a great bonus.

Thanks!

I can't recall the name, but I go up to a farm near Warwick, NY. If I can remember it, I'll post it.

Another friend of mine also mentioned a farm in Warwick county but couldn't remember the name. I bet it's the same one. I'll see if google can help me narrow it down.

It's over the river but I went this weekend to Morristown NJ. Wonderful apple picking and pumpkin picking. They also have a corn maze and a store. Absolutely wonderful...

Wightman's Farms, 1111 Mount Kemble Ave. (Route 202), Harding. (973) 425-9819 or wightmansfarms.com. Activities: hayrides and pumpkin picking.

Right off of Interstate 287.

There's two places in warwick. One is apple picking. Down the road is an excellent pumpkin farm.
