Sky bars

I am coming to NY next week and I am really looking forward to it but there's one thing missing:

I am looking for an exclusive, classy sky bar with a nice view of Manhattan. I've searched Google, NY magazines, and hotel sites but haven't found anything. Someone in this forum suggested Rainbow Room and that one is alright but I would like something more lounge like with soft music and a decadent feeling. I thought every skyscrape hotel had one!

Any suggestions? I would really appreciate it.

Though I would not call it exclusive, I really like Avas Lounge at the Dream Hotel.

It has a great view of Times Square and is a nice classy place.

My personal favorite is Pen-Top, on top of the Peninsula Hotel (5th Ave. and 55th St.). It has a terrific view of Fifth Avenue, some Central Park, and all of the surrounding skyscrapers.

Another great one is the Top of the Tower lounge at the Beekman Hotel. Fantastic view of the East River on one side, and the midtown skyline on the other side.

230 Fifth has a great view of the empire state building. it's on 230 5th ave, it's an exterior bar though. It has an interior, but I think it's pretty cheesy looking.

Gansvoort Hotel has a really nice indoor/outdoor bar too. Don't think it has a good view of Manhattan but it is on the river so it has a great view of the river.

There's a revolving resteraunt at the top of the Marriott Marquis hotel just off Times square, where i stayed last time i was in NY. Not exclusive, but still quite nice.
