Each time I travel to New York I visit a particular type of architecture. Whether it is Skyscrapers, subways or anything else that attracts me.

This time it will be various Red brick factories whether they be working or not. I aim to concentrate on Queens, Brooklyn and The Bronx.

The wonderful old Bollerman Piano factory in Mott Haven.

This is a well preserved example but, can’t track it down any ideas people?

These buildings are such a wonderful part of New York History and some are magnificent feats of architecture.

Your comments and views please.

Jamie.

I'm wondering if you have taken the PATH train from the old World Trade Center over to Newark. It's worth it if you haven't as there are many great brick factories to see! You might even want to stop at Harrison station, or you could save it for your next trip. A round trip train ride would take you about an hour, $1.50 each way.
