:cool:Next week ill be going to your fine city. Last time I went I was lucky enough to get a free bus ride to marks. This time around I doubt I will be so lucky. So I know my journey will start at time square so from there can anyone give me the best way to get to st. marks place? All responses are much appreciated thx in advance.

Take the No. 6 bus down Broadway and get off at 8th Street (St. Mark's Place) or walk 2 blocks east to Fifth Avenue and take the No.1 bus downtown to 8th Street. That is St. Mark's Place.

The bus will take you ages, but it offers better views. If you want to save an hour or more, either walk or take the shuttle (S train) from Times Square to Grand Central. From there, take the downtown 6 to Astor Place. Get off the train and walk east on Astor/8th- it's 2 blocks to St. Mark's Place.

R or W train from times square to 8th street and walk a block or two east. Much faster than the shuttle to grand central.

That much is true- I was even giving the directions from the R/W stop in my head.
