Hi, I've just joined the forum and was wondering if anyone knows the fate of this building (http://www.dillerscofidio.com/eyebeam.html), Diller Scofidio + Renfro's proposed Eyebeam Museum.

Google doesn't seem to offer any info on what's happened to the building since 2004 -- and searching this forum yields little as well.

I'm fearing the worst, but keeping my fingers crossed, since it'd be both another edgy, limit-pushing DS+R project as well as a much-needed museum (digital art and technology).

My other pet questions were Calatrava's 80 South Street and Richard Rogers' proposals to make the Manhattan bank of the East River worth a grain of salt. Any good scoops on them would be appreciated as well -- especially if the news is positive!

Thanks!

There was an article in the New Yorker in May about DSR, but I don't recall if it discussed this project. The article was largely about Lincoln Center and also their building in Boston.

80 South Street thread here. (http://wirednewyork.com/forum/showthread.php?t=4612&page=14)
