Does anyone here know who a group of black men preaching are? I sometimes see them in the Atlantic Ave station, some are wearing robes, and theyre doing some form of religious outreach. I've also seen them across from the Path station downtown in the summer. I can't make out much of what theyre saying, I'm usually walking to catch a train, but I did hear, "The white man is not Gods chosen people, we are Gods chosen people." Anyone know who they are and what they preach?

Definitely the Black Israelites. In the 90s, they used to congregate in Times Square, scaring the hell out of tourists and garnering lots of insults from locals:

Yeah they used to hangout around Penn Station alot too. I havent seen them in awhile though. Anybody remember that Chinese-oppresed religious-group that protested in cages, whatever happened to them?

They ^ would be followers (http://www.falundafa.org/book/eng/flg.htm) of Falun Gong (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Falun_Gong) -- you'll find them on the W 42nd Street sidewalk near the Westside Hiway (outside the Riverplace) and opposite the Chinese Consulate (http://www.nyconsulate.prchina.org/eng/).

The Falun Gong people can also frequently be spotted in Grand Army Plaza, right next to the kids who breakdance only to old Michael Jackson songs.
