Interesting idea. Somewhat tongue in cheek perhaps? Perhaps not for those who lived in the colonial world as recently as two or three decades ago.

But the Great English Empire being critiqued in cinema as early as....1946? Even that would surprise me.

How do you think the British colonization of the third world will be seen in the next 50 years?

Many of these countries have only just now had 50 years of independence, gained only after WWII.
