You can see this awe-inspiring sight in the U.S. too. Though native to Europe, starlings have become the most common bird in most parts of North America, and they swarm the same way here.

Very interesting, but it creeps me out!!! ;)

Reminds me a lot of the schools of fish they show all darting and moving around in (almost) unison.



I wouldn't want to park my car anwhere near that though!!!! (I have seen the results for parking near a favored flock hangout!!! ;) )

Wow!.. That is truly awesome!... i know you mean about it creeping you out tho... they could cause a lot of hurt if they turned on ya!... it'd be like that Alfred hitchcock film with the birds in it, i forget what its called....

Fantastic stuff Brianac. We had a huge flock of Starlings near where i used to work - just coming to dusk they would swarm around for about an hour in a tight group turning this way and that, always together- amazing to watch.
