Everything is fine- I did take a semi-warm winter vacation to New Orleans, and pretty much fell in love with that city. When I got back to New York, I basically tried to prolong the magic as long as possible by pretending I didn't REALLY live here. Thus, the reluctance to address anything NYC-related. Still, reality calls, I guess.

Stache, you have a good memory. However, due to some moral objections and a general lack of confidence in the city's governmental infrastructure, I've given up on the idea of walking the beat for the NYPD. I am considering going back to get a master's in a somewhat related field, but ask me about that in a year or so. Right now, I'm still not over fantasizing about a quiet life in the Faubourg Marigny.

Glad everything is alright Schadenfrau. I've been to New Orleans and like you, loved it. It was hard coming back here after being there.
