Hi,
My husband and I are going to NYC in September to see a Yankees game. I've been to NYC once before, but that was many years ago, and I was with my (then) boyfriend, who lived in Philly, but was very familiar with NYC.
Anyway, we're traveling from NC. I need to know the following things:
Should we drive or fly? I don't mind driving (it's not as far as Tampa, which we just returned from). I'm more worried about parking than anything else.
Which hotel would you recommend? I don't want to stay in a dump, nor do I want to spent $300/night either. We're not going to be spending much time in the room anyway. I would like for it to be clean, and in a safe neighborhood. I also don't want to be a long ways from Yankee Stadium.
I've pretty much decided that IF we drive to NYC, we will NOT be driving to Yankee Stadium. Seems like the best thing to do is take the subway.
Any tips would be appreciated. I've been reading some of the other posts on here, and they've been really helpful. I'm just a little freaked out right now b/c I'm really not sure what mode of transportation to take (fly or drive), and I have no clue where to stay, and what, if any, hotels have parking available (lots/decks?).
TIA.
