Slippey when wet: Central Park is set for a burst of summer fun Satruday, thanks to a giant waterslide, shown here in an artist's rendering.

Central Park (http://www.nydailynews.com/topics/Central+Park) will turn into a water park this Saturday, June 14, with a 70-foot waterslide.

Adventures NYC (http://www.nydailynews.com/topics/New+York+City), a five borough celebration of everything outdoors, will host the event from noon to 4:00 p.m. in mid-park at 72nd Street.

There will be music by new pop sensation Matt White (http://www.nydailynews.com/topics/Matt+White) and the first 1,500 to arrive will be given a free bicycle helmet from the NYC Department of Transportation (http://www.nydailynews.com/topics/NYC+Department+of+Transportation).

Participants will also have the opportunity to watch a pro BMX competition and high-flying trampoline acrobatics.

Thanks to a host of sponsors, the event is free.

Too bad I don't get off until four. I'd love to be a kid for a few hours.
