Hi there,

finally I can post in this part of the board! :-) I start working in Manhattan in March 09 and want to live in Brooklyn.

I'm looking for a shared apartment somewhere around a subway station which takes me to Manhattan (Penn Station or 28th street) in about 20 to 30 min or less. Rent should be about $ 700 to $ 900 a month.

Which part of Brooklyn could you recommend? Some bars and clubs should be around. :-)

Best regards

Patrick

Maybe along the A train in Bed-stuy. (i.e Utica Avenue)
There isn't much of a nightlife however and some parts are still quite rough.

I would also look in Jersey City (NJ), you might be able to find a less expensive place close to the PATH train that will get you up 6th avenue (33rd street or 23rd street stops).

It is not Brooklyn, but it might be cheaper and closer.....(time wise).

Even Hoboken will work to go to 23rd/33rd, although might be a bit pricier.
