Here are some photos of the Charles W Morgan restoration that is taking place in Mystic CT. This is the last remaining wooden whaling ship in the world. There is also a link to a photo gallery of the October 2008 hauling at Mystic seaport.
Enjoy!!!

I am APPALLED at the restoration of this whaling ship! How many whales were slaughtered at the hands of those deckhands on the Morgan?! This is an affront to concerned environmentalists everywhere. The money spent on this restoration should be diverted by the State of Connecticut to a special REPARATIONS FUND to help replenish the stock of whales in Long Island Sound and the continental shelf. Mystic Seaport should be boycotted for its insensitivity to the plight of whales everywhere.

The poor Le Papillion ... always a sad sight to see a vessel on the sand.
