PHEONIX, ARIZONA - Like Sherman Burnett Jr, but four time worst!

http://www.eastcoasttribune.com/story/142136

What in the hell is this world coming to today?!! Violent vicious rape and assault has reared it's ugly head again - in today's horrible world of young boys kidnapping, beating and raping little girls!

Four young boys ranging in age from 9, 10, 13 and 14 had lured a little girl into an abandoned shed, promising her some bubble gum & candy, but instead, they had ambushed her, had forced her to the floor of the shed and then sexually assaulted and raped her!!

One boy held her down while another boy took his turn sexually assaulting and raping her until they all thought that their lustful gratification and sick depraved sexual desires were satisfied. Those lusting young boys were looking for a vitim to attack and rape, and they found one!

As if that isn't horrifying enough, one of the boys is said to be her own cousin! And to add even more insult to injury, the girl's family is blaming the sick, cruel and brutal attack on HER, saying that she brought shame on the family, had no business following the boys and that she pretty much got what she deserved!

And then, the family had her placed in state custody and wants nothing else to do with her!! How's that for being a young helpless defenseless little girl?!
A neighbor heard & saw what was going on and broke it up. The boys and their victim are all from West Africa's nation of Liberia.

In parts of Africa, if a woman allows herself to be enticed, violated, gets raped or is simply in the wrong place at the wrong time, then she is said to have brought shame into her family, and that the family will shun, shame, denounce and degrade her a being blasfamous and a digrace to the family. But this little girl is NOT an adult at aLL -she is a helpless & defenseless CHILD who was violated and forced into having unconsentual sex against her own will!!

The oldest boy, Steven Tuopeh, along witth the three younger boys were arrested and charged as such. The names of the three younger boys were not given, mainly because of their ages.

Tuopeh will be charged as an adult, which means that he will face adult court treatment. If convicted, he might be facing a long-term sentense, possibly as long as Sherman's.

Those little boys are really sick, sadistic and sex-crazed to do that!! The oldest one as well. They were seen by the police running away from the scene of the crime.

This is yet another kidnapping / beating / sexual assault and rape case that is all to powerfully familiar with and quite similar to the one involving Sherman Burnett Jr. who comitted the same type of crime in November, '05. He's presently serving 60 years in prison for his sick, lustful, sadistic violent attack, beating and sexual assault on a little girl when he was only 13!! The girl was only 6 at the time of the attack.

No, it sounds kind of weird. Is this a news story, or is it one made to get everyone all charged up and angry wanting to go out and string these boys up? D13, is this your reaction? If so, post a link to the story!!!!

I think that this is a horrible crime, but I am suspicious of the report itself just because it is seems to be asking for pitchforks and torches.

What puzzles me is that what in the hell drives even SMALL CHILDREN such as the ones mentioned in this crime to engage in such violent sick brutal crimes, much less the 14-y-o boy?!

We all hear a lot about teens as young as 14 doing those crimes, but a 9-year-old?, or even a 10-year-old?! They're still practically babies, for God sakes! Babies raping babies!!! They bullied and violated the girl.

What is it now, as soon as they think about having sex or whenever they become sexually aroused, they want to have sex with a little defenseless girl?!!

And the victim herself. She was given a triple whammy because one of the attackers is her cousin, she was disowned by her family and she's now in state custody because the familly has literally thrown her out to the wolves!!

The burning question still remains - what do you do with an abusive small child who brakes the law and attacks and rapes younger kids?

-=-=-=-=-

Ninjahedge, this story is as serious as cancer or a heart attack!!!!! How dare you accuse me of posting a false story?!!

It is NOT a blanket statement and I'm not making it up.

I would NEVER falsify a story like this. Rape is very serious, and it should NEVER be thought of as a joke or a false story because the victim is left severely traumatized and scarred for life, if not dead.

I couldn't provide a link because none of them will work so far. But you CAN Google the 14-year-old boy's name; Steven Tuopeh, and you'll find the story there. :(

Multiple news agencies have reported it.

Ninjahedge, since you seem to think that I might be blatently making this story up and you're so damn quick to say that, I've managed to find and successfully post a link to the story here and above in my post at the top of the page. Just go here or there, if you care to see it;

http://www.eastvalleytribune.com/story/142136 .

The 14-year-old boy's pic appears there as well. How you like me now?!! I think that YOU'RE the one who is asking for pitchforks and torches.

Any story that I post here IS true to the best of my knowlledge and I don't make anything up.

And for him to even IMPLY that I did that, it is wrong on his part. As I said earlier, rape is nothing to make up.

I also find the link that you posted quite comical, even though it is spam. :p

Daquan, as a general rule of thumb, a posting in the News and Politics forum should have a link to an actual news article to back it up right from the get-go.

--

But what good does posting this kind of news do besides make people lose a bit of their faith in humanity?

Posting articles about the Iraq War or the workings of Italian politics is fine because things can be learned and affected through them. But what can we learn from this stuff? What can be gathered? That humans can do despicable things? That's not news.

Maybe I'm alone in feeling this, but these kind of articles, ESPECIALLY when posted with multiple exclamation points and alert symbols and stuff, doesn't really belong here.

These things happen every day, and what if we posted this "news" every time it happened? The threads on the economic crisis or climate change would fall to page 3 in an instant, and IMO learning from those threads will help us to grow as a society WAY better than reading an article that basically says, "don't rape young girls "

Oh.

You must be a mod now. Tell me, when did the cangeover to being a staff member take place for you?

Either or, here or there, when and where, why and how, then or now, it happened. And if you'd bothered to read my explaining that at first, that it was at first awfully hard for me to provide a link, then I think you'd have known that.

The bottom line is, the story IS true, no matter how you slice it. Proof that it was not made up.

..... Daquan, did I question whether the story was true?

Since you're apparently having trouble comprehending the points I was trying to make, I'll lay them out for you once again:

1. A SOURCE should accompany a thread posted in the news section SO PEOPLE WON'T QUESTION YOU. This is standard internet etiquette and has been for years (and I don't understand how it was hard to find and share a web link).
2. Posting these kind of articles is of highly questionable value.

Where in either the first post or this one did I say the story is NOT true ?

I heard about this the other day, and it is very sick.

What hurts me even more, is the fact that the family will blame the young child for this brutal crime.

These kids need professional help, not a slap on the wrist or a time-out.

Kz1000ps;

I never said that you accused me of that.

I just don't like it at all when someone comes here and even just MERELY implies that the story in question was in some way fabricated by me.

"Do you have a link to the story?" "I'll try to find one, but it's difficult getting one posted." That could have headed all this crap off at the pass.

I DID however find a link for it, so please, let's just let sleeping dogs lie.

No one here accused, implied, or suggested that YOU might have made up the story. It was suggested that the STORY ITSELF may have been, if not fabricated, editorially enhanced. That's why a link to the original was asked for.

It didn't help that your post began with...

PHOENIX, ARIZONA

I mistook it for a news article until I got to

D13, the same thing Zip said is what threw me off.

Go back and read your first post. It starts out as if it was a news article copied and pasted on the page.

The things that were missing, though, were a link and an authors name, so I did not know if that WAS the article or if you were writing your reaction.

If it WAS the article, it would have been a low credibility "shock and awe" sensationalistic kind of article intended to get people's attension, get them angry, and sell magazines/papers/internet ad space.

If it was YOUR response to a story, it was kind of hard to say anything about since you did not provide the link to the original, so I had nothing to go on.

What if I were to write right now how horrible it is for someone to go around killing puppies? What if I got all angry and started using many !!!!!!! to express my distaste for this, but yet did not provide any link?

Even if I never claimed it happened, it would be difficult to know what the heck was going on. Was it something that happened? Is this just an opinion I had after watching a movie? Is this just a rant about something I feel is bad?

Just take a few steps back from your emotions. You seem to get all caught up in them when anything comes close to questioning you, and LOOK at the question itself. All I was asking for is source.

As for your reaction? I don't think anyone will say that what these kids did was NOT wrong, but somehow getting that angry over something like that, and end result with little influence over the country at large, seems a bit extreme.

Am I saying you should not be angry? No, but that LEVEL of emotion has NEVER done anyone any good. It is easily misdirected and god forbid if anyone mistakenly stepped in its way (say, a wrongly accused) they would pay dearly for something they did not have anything to do with.

As for posting on here? I am not 100% against posting artcles like this, but most of us here do not come on and post a flaming bag of poo and then proceed to jump all over it and expect anyone else to slap us on the back and say "thanks". Dropping a firebomb and ranting about it doesn't do much good. You may want to take a few steps back and start taking a look at the kids histories, their connections, and what may have failed them rather than yelling about the action itself.

Just my 2 cents......

In your first response, I saw that near the end of it that you've also used many !!!!!! as well. But never mind that.

But all you had to say or ask in the beginning was could I provide a link. I would have more than happily gone and tried it again.

But if it looks like sensationalism to you, then maybe it is because it's so shocking to find out that lusting young boys as young as 9, 10 & 12 would even stoop that low and violate and inappropriately touch an innocent little girl and then her family denounces her and throws her out of the house instead of trying to help her in her time of need.

It is an embarrassing and traumatizing thing for that girl to have to go through. :(
