I'll be travelling to Mexico City, Guadalajara and surrounding areas in the Spring. Does anyone have any suggestions/ anecdotes / photos you would like to share with me?

Chamomile tea -- available everywhere in Mexico -- does wonders to relieve the effects of Turista (http://www.mexperience.com/guide/essentials/health_safety.htm#Turista).

Tips on Travel in Mexico from FODOR's (http://www.fodors.com/world/mexico-and-central-america/mexico/puerto-vallarta/travel-tip_2244579.html). Pay note to the advice about lettuce, etc.

Use bottled water to brush your teeth. And avoid ice.

On the positive side: Are you going to San Miguel de Allende (http://www.flickr.com/photos/tags/sanmigueldeallende/clusters/) and environs? That is someplace I've got to see.

Climb to the top of the pyramids at Teotihuacan (http://images.google.com/images?client=safari&rls=en&q=teotihuacan&oe=UTF-8&um=1&ie=UTF-8&ei=SYlYS9OYC9HYlAfL5NnzAw&sa=X&oi=image_result_group&ct=title&resnum=4&ved=0CCMQsAQwAw) outside Mexico City. And while in MC visit the great National Anthropology Museum (http://www.worldreviewer.com/travel-guides/museum/national-anthropology-museum/1958/) in Chapultepec Park.

Thanks, Lofter! That was a good article in Fodor's. The trip is part of a course I'm taking in school. I don't know the exact itinerary yet - our first class is next week. We'll be travelling for about ten days. I'm sure we'll see all of the highlights, but I just wanted to hear from traveler who had been there before what they would be excited about...and general Mexico tips, too.
