View Full Version : A quick visit to NYC

Hello everybody, first post here.

We're a couple of friends from Italy, looking for a decent place to stay. We found hotels to be very expensive (and we come from Rome!), so we were looking for decent alternatives.
Do you think an apartment (Landmark 149th) in 593 West 149th Street would be an alright choice? Looks ok from what I can gather and it has some ok reviews too.
I also looked into Harlem and while it doesn't exactly look like the safest neighbourhood, mine here isn't either... so that's not really a deal breaker.
Do you have some advice on the matter?
Thank you very much

If you're vacationing in NYC, you should aim to find lodging south of 100th St. Anything north of that is too inconvenient from a lot the good stuff. The Jane Hotel in the West Village is pretty cheap for NY standards: http://nymag.com/listings/hotel/the-jane/
