Just thinking.....

Is there enough popularity for that? The "Anything Goes" forum seems to be dominated by the top 4 Yankees, Mets, Jets, Giants threads......

I think that's a good idea.

Ed, you there?

Just FYI:

Jeeter - 54 replies
Yankees - 904 replies
Mets - 156 replies
Giants - 10
Jets - 16

Total = 1140 posts.
Anything Goes posts = 21,406

(recent) Sports = 5.32% of ALL the posts on AG......

Not saying that this needs to start posting feeds from ESPN or nothin'.... ;)

"Anything Goes" is much larger than many other subforums. That alone doesn't mean much, but many of the major threads are sports related, as has been noted here.

A sports subforum makes sense.

Well, it also makes it so that you can see if there was anything posted to the general threads w/o having to go in there and seeing that it was only the Yankees, Mets and Giants threads that got new posts (which there is no way of clearing without either visiting each thread, or resetting the entire board).

This is not a complaint, but I think that there are enough long-time regular posters that would use that subforum that these amenities would be greatly appreciated.

Well, you have Zippy and me signed up, NH. Does that constitute a groundswell after thirteen months?

Seriously, I was going to suggest sub an addition and then I saw this thread. An added section for sports would make sense and would be appreciated. Removing all the sports talk would also unclog Anything Goes and return it to its potpourri function.

I am in favor of a sports sub-forum as well. Hey it's a movement!

Hey, thanks for the sports sub-forum, as requested. I only just noticed.
