Grand Army Plaza on 59th and Fifth ave. in Manhattan. Even though the G.M. building tried its best to obliterate it.

The 50-floor GM Building was built across the street from the plaza. While it does seem out of place in the area, I doubt that it would actually destroy G.A.P. by overshadowing it.

Rockefeller Plaza is still tops among the greatest examples of modern urban planning. *A picturesque centerpiece to the world's first large-scale office complex.

Grand Army Plaza (http://www.centralparknyc.org/virtualpark/southend/grandarmyplaza/), a real feeling of place, each side is different, Plaza Hotel, Central Park, Trump Building, etc. *Great view to Columbus Circle. *Quintessential New York.

I'm often drawn to Union Square.

I think that Grand Army Plaza and the plaza Rockefeller Center are the city's two best. *I look forward to seeing the re-designed plaza at Columbus Circle when it's done.
