October 25, 2001 -- BAND-AID heiress Libet Johnson is trying some creative marketing with her unused 20,000-square-foot triplex apartment in the Trump International Hotel and Tower. She has now brought in an architect to reconfigure her five-apartment assemblage on floors 49-51 - the largest being more than 10,000 square feet with a $41 million price tag - to help divest herself of the colossal confines, which she's had on the market for $62.3 million since last fall.
"The space is going to be rebuilt for spring 2002," explains a broker. "And we have a variety of layouts [a maximum of six] subject to what somebody might want." The largest potential layout - which comprises the entire 51st floor - is available for $41 million and would have 17 rooms with 7 bedrooms and 10-and-a-half bathrooms.

Other configurations include a 4,266-square-foot duplex with four bedrooms and a library that faces west on floors 49 and 50 for $8.5 million, while others offer spectacular Park views. The Johnson & Johnson beneficiary originally put the raw space on the market after it was reported her live-in lover, noted hair-designer Frederic Fekkai, complained that the size of her sky-high spread was a bit overwhelming.

Anyone know what's going on on that lot to the northwest of the building? It looks like their building something...

Edward, how did you get up there?

Why, checking out the penthouse in One Central Park, of course ;)

I am in desperate need of some extra space - gallery, library, formal dining room, breakfast room, chef's kitchen, morning kitchen, media room, dressing areas etc. The need for service entrance, reception hall, 7 full baths and 5 bedrooms goes without saying.

Edward can any Joe check out any of these lofty condo properties or do they pressure you about finances and buying like they do if you test-drive a car?
