I took these pictures during the Macy's Thanksgving Day parade from the roof of Carnegie Mews (http://www.wirednewyork.com/carnegie_mews.htm), which is a 36-story apartment building located across the Broadway from Random House/Park Imperial (http://www.wirednewyork.com/skyscrapers/random_house/default.htm)

To the left of Random House/Park Imperial (http://www.wirednewyork.com/skyscrapers/random_house/default.htm) is the World Wide Plaza (http://www.wirednewyork.com/world_wide_plaza.htm) tower.

Great pictures, as always.
Do you have any others that you took from the top of the surrounding city/skyline? *If so, I would love to see them. *Also, if you have any of the building itself, it would be nice; I don't know, or can't remember, what it looks like. *Thanks.

Nice shots. Are there any pictures on what the finished building will look like?

This is the photo of the rooftop of Carnegie Mews. More pictures of this apartment building are on Carnegie Mews page of Wired New York (http://www.wirednewyork.com/carnegie_mews.htm).

This is how the Random House/Park Imperial (http://www.wirednewyork.com/skyscrapers/random_house/default.htm) will look like:

I posted several photographs of panoramic views from the rooftop of Carnegie Mews (http://www.wirednewyork.com/carnegie_mews.htm) as a separate thread (http://forums.wirednewyork.com/viewtopic.php?t=409) in Real Estate (http://forums.wirednewyork.com/viewforum.php?f=5) section of this forum.

Not a lot of excitement about this particular building, but that last shot looks good. Rather uninteresting curtain wall. Anybody have the height on this one?

684 feet... 20 feet more than the Trump Tower which this building vaguely seems to aspire to.

Remember this building next time you see a rendering with light glass.......
you never know for sure.

Fantastic example of how renderings never offer a true picture of what the building will look and feel like. How we went from light and sunny to solid black with this one I'll never know.

The renderibng also looks taller.

Then again, I think TWC and 7WTC did their renderings justice - and look pretty good.

Random House has to be the most invisible skyscraper in New York! Almost nobody talks about it. How can a building this big and tall get no respect?

I feel the same about Cityspire.

I like it but it's an average type tower in a pretty dense area.

It's crap. That's why we don't talk about it.

It's not so bad looking to me. :)

lol, right. The tower visually doesn't make a lot of sense. It puts the random in Random House, useless tricks that don't amount to very much.

It's suppose to like a stack of books with heavy bookends at the sides...please.
