Elegant, respectful and inspiring. I like it a lot. Now why can't we get anything done on the WTC site this quickly?

The NY1 article has a terrible rendering, and I didn't like it at first. I changed my mind when I found the other webpage. Nicely done, the right choice.

It got done quicky because of the smaller scale, no competing interests, and maybe most important - little publicity.

Perfect location too, St. George, great area with more reconstruction in the future. The towers were clearly visible from there.

An interesting re-interpretation of the Vietnam memorial's basics.

Simply beautiful. I hope this work gets more publicity, especially outside of the grater NYC area.

But this brings up an issue I have thought of... how many "average" people out there, wanting to enter the WTC Memorial contest would be able to have the resources to produce images like those of the Staten Island?

I think it would be a fraction of the people who would like to submit something and that is unfortunate.

Certainly a positive step in giving Staten Island a cohesive downtown.
